IT-security is of supreme importance for EngRoTec and a new IT-solution had been at the planning stage for a while according to IT-manager Arno Sommer. Hence, the company contacted the experts of the Data Center Group (DCG). The former data center room was entirely renovated to make room for the new data center. “We wanted a highly secure solution that could be realized very quickly and were looking for a competent team of experts. The DCG seemed like an extremely competent partner right from the start. Their planners looked at the situation on site and developed a concept in close consultation with us. The resulting individual solution met our expectations perfectly and convinced us.”

The new solution consists of a DC IT Safe linking. The highest security standards are provided by an early fire detection and an active cabinet extinguishing system. This way, the IT-infrastructure is perfectly safe from physical dangers like fire, extinguishing water, flue gas and also from unauthorized access or dust. Furthermore, the monitoring-system DC IT Monitoring Agent by Data Center Products surveils the components inside the safe and notifies the employee in charge immediately via SMS or e-mail and ensures that respective measures can be taken straight away.
