Feasibility study

Whether greenfield or brownfield, new build or modernization, we analyze and evaluate the factors influencing the strategic direction of your IT. By using professional analysis tools, such as the connectivity and environment analysis or the general concept, we create an independent picture of the infrastructure as a basis for decisions. We assess relevant factors such as the environment, energy supply and connectivity.

Life cycle analysis

A life cycle analysis (LCA) can help to assess the environmental impact of a data center from planning through construction to operation. By creating an LCA, we can estimate the environmental impact, such as emissions or resource consumption, over the entire life cycle of a building. This enables us to identify areas where sustainability improvements can be made.

Funding

In every phase of a data center project, whether small or large, it is worth examining the implementation of easures for greater sustainability and energy efficiency with regard to possible fundings.

With the help of our funding management, we analyze the possibilities and modalities of the funding programs for you and support you in applying for the funds.

Energy

Energy resources are limited. The better their use is planned, the more efficiently the IT infrastructure operates. We support you with the conception of the energy supply for your property (especially electrical and cooling supply). We can also detect weak points with our energy check, localize hidden potential and develop energy efficiency concepts and management systems to reduce your energy consumption.

Refrigerants

When selecting energy-efficient refrigeration systems, the choice of refrigerant must be carefully considered. Established refrigerants are subject to restrictions, such as the amendment to the F-Gas Regulation (FgaseV). Furthermore, almost all halogenated refrigerants available under the FgaseV are on the PFAS1 ban list under discussion.

We offer you sustainable alternatives, e. g. natural refrigerants with the „Blauer Engel“ ecolabel.

Waste heat recovery

Waste heat recovery plays a more important role than ever in data center operations. It is now even required by law. And making use of this resource also pays off economically. However, identifying potential uses and implementing them is not always easy.

We create waste heat utilization concepts and contracting models for heat recovery from existing heating networks.

If no grid exists, we use a market analysis to identify potential heat consumers (municipal heating grids, office, commercial and residential buildings or districts).

Certifications

The security and availability of your data center can be verified with independent certificates. This proves the required resilience, security and sustainability aspects. We offer you the corresponding certification support for the following certificates, among others:

• Availability: EN 50600, Uptime, BSI
• Sustainability: Blauer Engel, LEED, DGNB
