The headquarters of the group of companies, which has been family-owned for five generations and has around 3,900 employees worldwide, is in Balingen in Baden-Württemberg. Data Center Construction, the business unit of the Data Center Group, modernized the main data center of the Bizerba Group at the Balingen site on its own initiative, including the dismantling of the old building on a total area of 250 m².
The new data center has a high availability room system DC IT Room Granite ECB-S according to DIN 1047-2. Size: approx. 90 m² incl. upstream technical room areas as well as the self-built, energy efficient air conditioning technology by means of indirect dynamic free cooling.
Furthermore, a NOVEC 1230 extinguishing system with area-wide fire alarm monitoring, a RAS (smoke aspiration system) for complete technical areas, and plug-in modular UPS systems 200 KW A / B, modularly expandable.
Not only the main data center, but also the house air conditioning (human cooling) for the building complex of the Bizerba Group, was completely updated by the Data Center Group.
