Comprehensive solutions for secure, resilient and future-proof data centres

Betzdorf / Wallmenroth / Nuremberg, September 2, 2026. SCHÄFER IT-Systems and the Data Centre Group are pooling their expertise in secure and future-proof data centre infrastructures at the it-sa Expo&Congress 2026. From October 27 to 29, the two companies will be demonstrating at their joint stand 328 in Hall 7A in Nuremberg how data centres and decentralised IT infrastructures can be holistically planned, equipped and reliably operated. The focus will be on solutions for high availability, resilience and physical security. The spectrum ranges from data centre planning and rack and infrastructure concepts through to monitoring, access control, fire protection and energy-efficient cooling and direct liquid cooling solutions.

As digitalisation advances, it is not only cybersecurity requirements that are increasing. The physical infrastructure of a data centre must also be reliably protected against outages, unauthorised access, fire, water damage and other risks. At the same time, rising power densities, regulatory requirements and increasing demands for energy efficiency and availability are adding to the complexity of modern data centre projects.

This is precisely where the joint trade fair presence of SCHÄFER IT-Systems and the Data Centre Group comes into its own. Whilst the Data Centre Group supports projects from consultancy and planning through to engineering and implementation, right through to operation and service, SCHÄFER IT-Systems contributes its expertise in technical data centre infrastructure.

iQdata – the intelligent data centre
With iQdata, SCHÄFER IT-Systems offers a coordinated portfolio of solutions comprising rack, cooling, power, monitoring, security and service. The modular systems can be adapted to meet a range of performance, security and availability requirements and are used in both traditional data centres and decentralised edge environments.

Physical security as part of a holistic IT security strategy
At the joint exhibition stand, the focus is on solutions that support the continuous operation of business-critical IT. From secure server cabinets and micro data centres, through to mobile, rapidly deployable and extremely robust data centre containers, right through to the planning, modernisation and implementation of high-availability data centres, the Data Centre Group offers a comprehensive portfolio covering all aspects of physical security. This includes robust and customisable rack systems, intelligent monitoring solutions for tracking relevant operational parameters, and systems for access control, early fire detection and fire suppression.

Cooling for increasing power densities
Another key focus is on thermal management for modern IT infrastructures. SCHÄFER IT-Systems’ cooling portfolio comprises scalable solutions for traditional data centres, edge applications and high-density server environments. Direct liquid cooling is becoming particularly important for HPC and AI applications. With modular, rack-based system solutions such as the ProtectaCool Rack, SCHÄFER IT-Systems combines efficient cooling with reliable operation and stable water quality.

“IT security does not end at the digital interface. Only when cybersecurity, physical protection and a highly available infrastructure are considered together can a robust overall concept be created. Together with the Data Centre Group, we would like to demonstrate at it-sa how these requirements can be combined in practice,” says Thomas Wermke, Division Manager at SCHÄFER IT-Systems.

“The demands placed on secure and resilient data centres are constantly increasing. A consistent approach – from planning through to the technical infrastructure and subsequent operation – is therefore crucial. Our joint exhibition stand enables us to convey these interrelationships to visitors in a direct and practical way,” adds Christian Raab, Sales Manager for Central Germany at the Data Centre Group.

Expertise covering the entire lifecycle of a data centre
The joint exhibition stand is aimed in particular at data centre operators and integrators, IT managers, planners, system integrators, as well as companies and public sector organisations with high requirements regarding the availability and security of their IT systems.
Visitors can discuss specific requirements and projects directly with experts from both companies.
