The history of GLOCKEN BÄCKEREI began over 100 years ago. With a lot of commitment, the use of the latest technology according to the standards of the time and the quality standards that are still valid today, a rapid development through turbulent times began. Eventually, the GLOCKEN BÄCKEREI developed from a small artisan bakery into one of the largest and best-known bakeries in the Rhine-Main region.
By combining innovative ideas and a sense of tradition, the GLOCKEN BÄCKEREI has been very successful on the market and has been part of the REWE Group since 1986. Through restructuring and expansion, fine bread and baked goods are now produced in two production facilities and distributed far beyond the borders of the Rhine-Main region. Every day, more than 1,400 REWE stores, over 800 Penny stores, numerous Nahkauf stores and more than 130 REWE pre-purchase stores are supplied.
GLOCKEN BÄCKEREI was looking for a specialist for IT security, especially for the implementation of data centers at the Frankfurt location. Since the contact between the Data Center Group and the REWE Group has already existed for years, no other partner than DCG came into question for GLOCKEN BÄCKEREI.
In January 2017, Data Center Group then realized the new data center within four weeks - turnkey and including expert acceptance. The data center features the following technology:
IT security room F90+ incl. technical room
Novec1230 extinguishing system
UPS systems incl. associated electrical sub-distributions
Air conditioning technology designed in redundancy
Security technology (video & monitoring)
raised floor
Since the customer is in the food industry, among other things, corresponding regulations with regard to hygiene and registration processes had to be complied with.
