Fleischmanufaktur Haspel, a medium-sized company from the Franconian town of Dombühl near Nuremberg, specializes in processing beef and pork. In addition to cutting, the range includes refined products such as steaks, meat skewers and stuffed roulades. With around 180 employees, the company has been operating its production at one location for more than 30 years. As part of the further development of the business, Fleischmanufaktur Haspel decided to modernize its IT infrastructure. The Data Center Group (DCG) was entrusted with the implementation of this task.
Contact with DCG was established via the engineering office Dennis Prior in cooperation with IT-Factory GmbH from Augsburg, which had already recommended itself in previous projects in the field of automation and IT applications at Fleischmanufaktur Haspel. The engineering office is DCG's planning and sales partner and impresses with its trusting cooperation and high-quality solutions.
In 2022, Fleischmanufaktur found itself in a difficult situation after a fire severely damaged the existing IT infrastructure. This incident made it clear that the previous IT systems no longer met the increased security and efficiency requirements. Faced with the choice of moving the old hardware to a new location or investing in a modern solution, the company opted for a future-proof IT solution that offered flexibility, stability and security: the Micro Data Center “DC IT Safe”.
Due to the challenging conditions at the installation site - including high dust levels from construction activities due to building reconstruction following the fire incident and fluctuating temperatures - it was crucial to develop a robust yet flexible system. Our solution was particularly convincing due to its robustness and ability to function stably even under extreme conditions.
The implementation of the new IT infrastructure went according to plan and efficiently. Challenges such as the fine-tuning of the air conditioning system were quickly resolved, ensuring that the schedule could be adhered to. Close cooperation with the team at Fleischmanufaktur Haspel and clear communication meant that the entire process was characterized by a high level of transparency and efficiency, which ultimately led to the commissioning of a multi-year maintenance contract.
After the successful installation, a significant improvement in IT security and process stability was immediately apparent at Fleischmanufaktur Haspel. The new IT infrastructure not only met all requirements, but also increased the efficiency of production processes and the protection of sensitive data. The robust solution is ideally equipped for future challenges and offers the company long-term security and flexibility.
Thanks to the successful implementation, all operational IT processes are now optimally aligned with the company's growing requirements. “We are proud of the trusting cooperation. With DC IT Safe, we were able to find the ideal product for our requirements,” summarizes Florian Stadelmann, Operations Manager at Fleischmanufaktur Haspel.
