Securing Health-IT

05.02.2019

The DATA CENTER GROUP demonstrates how Health-IT can be effectively protected by the DC-ITSafe and the DC-ITFSafe Office Edition at the DMEA in Berlin from April 9 to April 11. You can find us in hall 3.2, stand B-109.

For digitalizing the healthcare industry one does not only need a more efficient performance but also proper protection of data.

With the two mini data centers the DATA CENTER GROUP has developed solutions for the protection of critical infrastructures. They facilitate the adaption to the digital transformation, guarantee the confidential handling of data and reduce the dependence on available IT-infrastructures. Among others, the DC-ITSafe offers protection from physical dangers: It is evidently the most fire-proof compact data center in the world, EI90 fire-proof according to EN 1363-1 and it is the only compact data center that meets the requirements according to EN 1047-2 for more than 40 min. Moreover, it withstands gas, explosion, extinguishing water and vandalism.

Because of the inseparable swing-bolt-technology, the self-locking doors and the electronic combination lock offer an excellent protection from burglary and unauthorized access. The housing is designed to protect from eavesdropping operations and radiation. The DC-ITSafe can be flexibly expanded by linking modules because of a patented "Click" assembly technology, which allows both a quick and easy assembling and dismantling. The Office Edition is smaller and hence, especially suitable for open space offices or medical institutions.

"As one of Europe's leading events for Health-IT manufacturers, users and representatives from politics, science and administration, DMEA shows how modern IT can qualitatively increase the supply in healthcare and support institutions in competition. Our mini data centers demonstrate impressively which options exist for efficient data protection. As part of the progressing digitalization and the increasing amounts of data, the entire medical area has to face new challenges and requirements. Data does not only have to be processed in real time, but, more importantly, there must be a focus on security and the protection of personal data," says Michael Kaverman, sales manager North at the DATA CENTER GROUP.
