Benefits of IT Room Shielding
Comprehensive protection for your entire IT infrastructure
The entire server room is designed as a closed, secure environment.
Customization to fit buildings and infrastructure
The design can be precisely adapted to existing buildings and technical requirements.
Reduced maintenance requirements
Neither the shielded room, nor the filter systems, nor any other components require regular maintenance; only the door needs to be serviced once a year. This significantly reduces both effort and operating costs.
Construction of shielded rooms
Our shielded rooms are constructed from metal panels that are joined together to form a closed structure.
We use galvanized steel panels with a thickness of approximately two millimeters, as these provide high stability and reliable protection.
Depending on the project requirements, the structure can be assembled using a modular design or welded directly together.

Technical Implementation of Room Shielding
The metal structure of a room-in-room data center forms the basis for a closed electromagnetic shielding enclosure. This creates a fully shielded IT area within existing buildings, reliably protecting sensitive systems from electromagnetic interference and unwanted radiation.
The shielding is provided by a continuously conductive room structure made of high-quality, galvanized steel panels approximately two millimeters thick. This construction combines high mechanical stability with effective shielding across a broad frequency spectrum.
Special attention is paid to the implementation of all openings and interfaces. Doors, ventilation elements, and media and cable penetrations are technically controlled and integrated, and conductively incorporated into the shielding structure. Only the precise interaction of all components ensures a permanently closed Faraday structure and thus reliable electromagnetic shielding.
Depending on project requirements, DC IT Shielding for room-in-room data centers can be implemented in various configurations.
Steel sheet cabin
- Shielding cabins made of 2 mm galvanized steel form a closed Faraday structure and reliably protect against electromagnetic radiation across high frequency ranges
- Prefabricated steel modules allow the cabin to be installed quickly and adapted or expanded to meet individual room and project requirements
- Corrosion-protected steel sheets and precisely manufactured connection systems ensure high stability, long-term tightness, and reliable operation in daily use
Copper foil

- Copper foil with a thickness of 0.2–0.3 mm achieves shielding attenuation of >100 dB in the frequency range from 30 MHz to 10 GHz.
- Continuous, lead-free soft soldering creates a closed and particularly dense shielding enclosure.
- The tightly soldered copper construction simultaneously acts as a reliable vapor barrier from a building physics perspective.
Verified shielding performance

- System tested shielding effectiveness according to EN 50147-1, NSA 65-6, IEEE-STD 299 (MIL-STD 285)
- Certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
- High-availability protection with emission and immunity protection >80 dB. Radiation from IT equipment is reduced by a factor of 10,000
- Compliant with BSI requirements (German Federal Office for Information Security)
- Meets NATO-(SDIP-29) and TEMPEST requirements
- Patented shielding doors and gates (airlocks)
