Sustainable planning

In order to achieve the requirements of the ambitious energy efficiency values (PUE) of the Energy Efficiency Act (EnEfG), scalable construction Data Center design and engineering is necessary. This can be flexibly adapted to the utilization of the data center.

The established approach is to divide the construction phases into small modules in order to achieve the best possible utilization and capacity ratios.

We take care of the data center design and the comprehensive Data Center design and engineering of the technical building equipment, building and structural engineering as well as the Data Center design and engineeringof the power supply (e. g. substations).

Land conversion

The conversion of brownfield sites offers significant advantages for the environment. For example, the site of an already developed area can be revalued by changing its use. This avoids the development, sealing and construction of new areas.

Changes of use within existing buildings are also possible. For example, unused rooms are often suitable for the construction of micro data centers or high-security rooms as data centers.

Simulations

Simulations in the field of structural design are used to optimize profiles and the use of the right materials. In this way, the use of CO₂-intensive building materials such as concrete or steel can be optimized.

We also run simulations in accordance with the Recycling Management Act, which calculate the general material consumption and recycling options. This allows us to compare concrete and steel consumption, for example. In this way, we can strive for the most sustainable use of materials.

BIM / Digital Twin

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is used to plan and control construction processes. Virtual models are used to create a digital twin of your building. The digital information allows us to plan and construct buildings holistically and support them throughout their entire life cycle. We also use CFD1 calculations based on the digital twin to analyse and optimize the thermal conditions and temperatures in the data center.
