Following the Green Data Center Summit at the Smart Country Convention, the Bitkom Data Center Conference is entering its second round. We will be represented at the Bitkom Data Center Summit 2025 in Berlin. Under the motto “Sustainable, Sovereign & Secure,” this leading event for the data center industry is being held in cooperation with politics, science, and other industries.
In addition to an exciting opening speech and other informative presentations and panel discussions, the summit aims to promote dialogue between politics, business, and science on key issues facing the industry. This year, the organizers are focusing more on interactive formats to discuss these topics and develop solutions together with participants, for example through best practice pitches and workshops.
The central themes of the summit are
Sustainability: Despite growing computing capacities, digitalization must be designed in such a way that data centers are operated in a climate-neutral manner and resources are used sustainably.
Sovereignty and competitiveness: The increasing demand for computing power due to AI and digitalization requires digital sovereignty and the maintenance of international competitiveness.
Energy supply: Data centers need a stable, affordable, and sustainable power supply to overcome bottlenecks and high energy prices.
