The Data Center Group (DCG) is consistently continuing its growth path and is making significant investments in the future at its headquarter in Wallmenroth. With a generous expansion building, the company is not only creating additional jobs but also reaffirming its commitment to the Westerwald location.
About 2.5 million euros are being invested in the structural expansion of the headquarters – fully financed from our own funds. 'We are consciously investing in our home region. Wallmenroth is our origin, and we feel connected here,' says Ralf Siefen, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of DCG. 'That’s why we are specifically relying on partners from the region for this project, who can accompany us reliably and competently,' adds Markus Böhmer, CTO of DCG.
The construction project was planned by the architecture company Oliver Schmidt from Betzdorf. The preparatory work, such as land development and the foundation slab, has been taken over by the company HF Bau from Daaden. The construction is predominantly carried out using modular building methods - implemented by the regional specialist Säbu from Morsbach. The decision for this construction method enables a rapid, sustainable, and efficient expansion of the companies headquarter.
An important milestone was reached on September 19, 2025: Together with representatives from the construction companies involved, the local council of Wallmenroth, and the association community, the Data Center Group celebrated the topping-out ceremony as a sign of lived partnership. Association community mayor Joachim Brenner also expressed his pleasure over this milestone: "With the company's expansion, an impressive symbol of innovation and sustainable growth of the Data Center Group is being set. This is an important impulse for our association community and the entire region. Many thanks to all those involved, who made this project possible with commitment and courage."
"Our growth is not an end in itself - it is the result of hard work and a great team," emphasizes Ralf Siefen, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of the Data Center Group. "Without dedicated and qualified employees, this path would not be possible. They are the cornerstone of our success - we grow together."
The expansion of the headquarters includes several central components: A building wing will be expanded over two floors to create additional space for around 40 new workplaces, as well as two modern meeting rooms. The second floor of the existing building will also be extended by a spacious, open-designed lounge area equipped with a bar and kitchen. This area is intended not only to serve as a relaxation zone but will also be adaptable for conferences and meetings in the future. Overall, the building will increase by around 550 square meters of additional usable space through these measures.
In addition to the expansion in Wallmenroth, the DCG locations in Frankfurt and Cologne are also growing. Strategically located in close proximity to the world's largest internet hub and the strong market growth in the North Rhine-Westphalia region, the company is responding to the increasing demand and is also creating additional jobs there by expanding the offices.
The development follows a fiscal year 2024, which entered the company's history as the best to date. "We are confident that we can even surpass this success in 2025," Siefen said optimistically.
"This growth is a success of the entire team," says Siefen. "Without dedicated, qualified employees, such developments and successes would not be possible. They are the foundation of our corporate culture – and make up the Data Center Group."
With the expansion, the Data Center Group once again emphasizes its role as a strong employer and forward-looking company in the region – and sends a clear signal for the location Wallmenroth and the Westerwald.
