Data Center Group (DCG) has reached an important milestone: after just under 3.5 months of construction, the new extension at the company headquarters in Wallmenroth has already been occupied. With this step, the company continues its growth trajectory and invests both in its own future and in the Wallmenroth site and the wider Westerwald region.
The extension provides space for around 45 additional workplaces as well as two modern meeting rooms. In total, the usable floor space of the headquarters increases by approximately 550 square meters.
From planning through to execution, DCG consistently relied on regional expertise: architectural design was handled by Ingenieurbüro Oliver Schmidt from Betzdorf. Preparatory work on the site was carried out by HF Bau from Daaden. Acting as developer, the modular construction specialist Säbu from Morsbach successfully delivered the project, while the final interior and exterior painting work was completed by malerhombach from Rosenheim.
The network cabling, security concept, and power distribution were planned in-house and implemented by our trainees training as electronics technicians.
Thanks to the well-coordinated collaboration both internally and with our partners, the ambitious timeline was met and the extension was put into operation as planned. The next steps toward full completion are clearly defined: these include finishing the outdoor areas, installing the canopy, and completing the sanitary facilities. Over the course of the year, an open lounge area with a bar and kitchen is planned for the existing building, which will be used in the future both as a common area and for events and conferences.
DCG also places a strong focus on sustainability in its own expansion project: modern heat pumps make use of ambient energy, reducing heating costs and CO₂ emissions. In addition, two further charging stations for electric vehicles have been installed.
With this positive news and plenty of momentum, we are starting the new year with confidence: already in the first weeks of the new 2025/26 financial year and following a successful kick-off event [LINK], numerous successes have been celebrated, seamlessly continuing the achievements of the past financial year.
