The local, fully automatic fire detection and extinguishing system for server and IT racks
The DC IT Firestop fire alarm and fire extinguishing system is an autonomously operating, fully automatic detection and extinguishing system in a compact 1U design. It consists of a fully automatic fire alarm system with control, evaluation, communication, and extinguishing unit.
The extinguishing agent used is FK 5-1-12 and meets the requirements of DIN EN 15004-2.
How it works
Fire detection is carried out by two optical smoke and temperature detectors in the device, which are bundled into one zone. In addition, two external sensors in the IT safe are connected together to form another zone.
Both sensors in each zone must signal an alarm in order for an extinguishing process to be activated. False alarms are reduced by the two-sensor dependency. The two zones are not linked to each other; the alarm in one zone is sufficient for the subsequent processes.
Safe deletion with clean deletion gas
The extinguishing system can be controlled and configured manually via the front panel or externally via the web interface. Thanks to the integrated network card, it can be integrated into the existing network infrastructure and has four programmable outputs.
The DC IT Firestop also has a rechargeable battery. Annual maintenance by appropriately trained personnel to check all safety-related components is recommended.
The extinguishing process uses an environmentally friendly, residue-free gas that does not damage sensitive IT hardware.
The system meets the requirements of EN 54-2 and EN 54-10 and is therefore certified for professional IT environments.
