The public sector as critical infrastructure (KRITIS)

For this reason, these IT infrastructures require special protection and fail-safe design and are even subject to special technological and regulatory frameworks of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), the so-called "critical infrastructures" (KRITIS).
