The Alzey-based company understands data processing holistically and acts as a product house according to this premise. The company has been able to develop extensive industry know-how through close cooperation with users and SIGUV partners.
Quality and professionalism with tradition: The HDP product family Cusa is used by all members of the SIGUV community to process insurance claims. A task that brings great challenges and requires a functioning IT infrastructure. The experts at HDP wanted to bundle their IT infrastructure. Therefore, they decided to build an outdoor data center in modular design. Expandability, security and sustainability were the focus of the planning.
The decision to build the data center on a greenfield site was therefore made as early as 2016. In close consultation with its customers and the planners of the Data Center Group, HDP defined the specific requirements for the new data center in an intensive planning phase in order to coordinate them individually. Availability and reliability are top priorities, along with energy efficiency and sustainability. Work began at the beginning of 2018, and the data center realized by the Data Center Group experts provides space for 48 racks. An extinguishing system, UPS systems, a comprehensive fire protection solution and an individually tailored climate control solution complete the result and form the basis of the upcoming TÜV Level III certification.
Thanks to its innovative modular design, the new data center can be expanded at any time. This flexibility ensures growth: because the modular data center can be expanded during ongoing operation. The building modules were prefabricated and assembled on site. The result: lower costs and a shortened construction time. The new data center is a milestone in the company's history," reports HDP Managing Director Frank Pusch. The SIGUV data center provides innovative building technology and modern infrastructure in a scalable modular design. It thus meets the requirements of a modern data center in terms of high availability, flexibility and IT security.
