On October 1, 2023, the Data Center Group (DCG) opened a new, additional office in Schwalbach am Taunus for the greater Frankfurt area. This move reflects the company's continuous growth in recent years and sends a clear signal for the future.
The new premises are located in the prestigious Hillsite Building on the edge of Frankfurt. The new location has been strategically chosen: On the one hand, due to its proximity to the world's largest Internet hub DE-CIX and situated at the second largest data center location in the EU, the office also offers proximity to current major projects in the Frankfurt area and even a direct view of a sustainable hyperscale data center currently under construction with a connected load of 25 MVA, which represents an important building block for the new Green Data Center platform.
The new location will be managed by Frank Riede, construction engineer and project manager at DCG. Parts of the planning and project management departments will also be managed from this location. For Ralf Siefen, CEO and Managing Director of DCG, the opening of a branch in the data center metropolis is a forward-looking step for the company: "In order to continue our success story of recent years, it is necessary to intensify our proximity to the data center market and to our important key projects. In this context, the decision to open an office in Frankfurt to complement our additional locations in Berlin and Munich was an obvious one."
A step that had become necessary primarily due to the continuous growth of DCG since the company was founded in 2005. "In order to continue to provide our services at a high level, we need to build up additional expertise and remain close to the market. From this perspective, the opening of the Frankfurt office is ultimately only the logical consequence of the development of recent years," explains Markus Böhmer, authorized officer and Head of Project Business at DCG.
A decision that takes on added significance in view of the Data Center Group's expanded service portfolio. DCG has built up expertise across the entire data center value chain and developed innovative solutions - from consulting, planning and construction to service and operation. "Our customers can call on this expertise across all areas at all our locations. This is another reason why the opening of the office for the Frankfurt area marks another milestone in the development of our company, from which our customers and employees will benefit enormously," Ralf Siefen is convinced.
