In an existing building of Intersport Deutschland eG at the Heilbronn site, a modular ECB-S certified high security room with 90 m² IT area with a total of 25 rack systems was built in the first construction phase. In the second construction phase, there is an expansion option to 118 m² and 33 rack systems.
In accordance with customer requirements, the data center is equipped with a redundant air conditioning system with a capacity of 200 kW including energy-efficient free cooling, additional A-/ and B-supply and InRow rack cooling including cold aisle concept. The technical areas are set up according to a 100% redundancy principle (UPS A + UPS B and their distributions). In addition, a mains backup system is available for 100% supply in the event of a failure of the data center operation.
Furthermore, in addition to the high-security room, the security technology monitors the entire technical area with access control/video monitoring system, intrusion alarm system, early fire detection system and fire alarm extinguishing system. In addition, the security and technical rooms are topped with a combined monitoring and energy management system from Data Center Products. To ensure optimum IT technology operation, the Service Business Unit of the Data Center Group was commissioned with maintenance and service.
